We had no plans for dessert, but will wonders never cease, the dessert fairies showed up on V-Day night with a gorgeous dessert from Le Central, a local French restaurant. My brother and his fiancee, being newly engaged, did partake in a fancy meal for the holiday, but were sweet enough to bring their leftover dessert to us, along with two amazing truffles.

V-Day
Nate and I weren't huge fans of Valentine's Day before we had Erica, so the fact that we couldn't do a big night out for the holiday wasn't a big loss. However, we did celebrate with a heart shaped pizza from Papa Murphy's.
The pizza did not come with a plug. That's an appliance that's nearby. Just in case you were wondering.

Oh, my mouth waters just looking at it again. It was a chocolate cake layered with chocolate mousse (my favorite) with chocolate ganache over the top. Then the cookie was held to the cake with another dollop of mousse. Heaven I tell you!
Erica couldn't be left out of the festivities. She got cute new V-Day pjs with frogs and hearts all over them, and with a ruffled butt. Here she shows how grumpy and tired she can be, even if she had adorable new pjs.
And here she shows how REALLY adorable she can be asleep on her tummy, hugging her blankie with her ruffled butt up in the air. Awww....

New Chart!
There haven't been many pictures of Erica lately. Who wants to see shots of a sick baby? We did take her in for her 9 month "well" baby appointment though, and found out that she's 90th percentile for head circumference, 80th percentile for height, and 25th percentile for weight. Our baby's head is getting bigger, and her weight is dropping off.

Just some pictures
Here are just a few pictures from the past month and a half. I'm beside myself that my baby girl is going to be 9 months old in a week! Last Sunday we celebrated her 38 week birthday, which means Erica has officially been out longer than she was in. In honor of the special day there was a huge football game. Perhaps you saw it?
Erica and Daddy going for a hike on the Highline Canal. Mom's taking the picture. The Levene's provided the pack as a Christmas present to us.
Erica in her party dress and tights before Annika's second birthday party on New Year's Day.
Erica realizes that her play mat is WAY more fun than she had initially believed. Look mom, my foot goes through the "6"!
Oh my goodness, and I can chew on the "3".
Oh yeah, don't I look ridiculous, in a cute way.
Love the action shot of Erica beating on Daddy.
A family picture of dad, mom, and baby big head. Too bad all three of us never look good in pictures at the same time!
"We don't need no stinkin' baby proofing'." Thankfully the most dangerous thing in this cupboard is a Kitchen Aid mixer and a Barefoot Contessa brownie mix.
